A year ago, she had resigned herself to her fate. Now she stands ready to go back, to fight for both herself and her family. She can't allow herself to falter now.
And his words get her to smile, gently, glad she had been able to help him there. ]
And I'll always be there to do that, in case you find yourself falling back into it.
[ Lapis looks at her phone once more, before putting it to the side - now motioning for Jinwoo to sit next to her. Let her cling onto the boyfriend so she can feel better. ]
I'm not going to consider something worse. We've come too far for that. [ Any other time, any other person, she would say she's fine. But Jinwoo is someone who has seen her at her very worst, and even beyond that.
So she hesitate, biting on her lip before managing a weak shrug. ]
Nervous... A little scared, I think. It's really happening tomorrow, isn't it.

He'd never been to Asgard, so he has no idea what to expect, other than what his friends and fellow rebels had told him.
He lifts his head up to look at Lapis again, after a moment. ]
Scared I think is pretty normal. We're going up against the whole Order. The people who've been controlling our lives for years.
I can't even imagine what they're capable of, much less what kind of shit We're walking into.
It isn't going to be like one of my movies where we walk in, a mob, and take over.
I keep worrying that we might lose some people.
I can come back to life if it happens to me, but. [ he reaches over, touching Lapis' arm. The one that'd gotten severed not even a month ago. ]
But there's no turning back now.

( Her mind, briefly, drifts to the librarian who pushed her to leave. Dread curls tight in her chest and she shakes her head in an attempt to focus. )
Her eyes flicker to the touch to her arm, her expression tensing for a moment - a hand reaching up to give his a squeeze. ]
I'm more than willing to be a loss, if it means you and dad can be free. [ Her life had been forfeit the moment the Order had taken her in, that's what she always told herself. And now she's willing to be a sacrifice if it meant they could have their freedom.
So long as this patched together life could help the people she loved, even if it was snuffed out, she would be content. But - ]
But I know that will hurt you both, so I'm not going to let that happen. [ So she will live. ]
Will you... stay with me, when we go?

Jinwoo is sure he's met an unyielding before; there's a ... fogginess in his mind as he tries to remember exactly what the man looked like. But his power had been so overbearing... maybe that's why he'd forced the memory out of his mind. He shakes his had, one of his hands immediately jumping to grab her wrist, pulling it up to his chest as he tries to make her LOOK at him. ]
No. No sacrifices, none of that heroic crap.
You want me to stay with you, then I will, of course. I won't let you and Husk face it alone--but what I won't do is watch you throw your life away for the freedom of the rest of us.
You'll be enjoying the freedom we're fighting for alongside the rest of us.
...I want you to promise me that.
That you won't throw yourself into the fire for us.

And while she is still worried about the Unyielding Jinwoo encountered... Well, hopefully tomorrow will give more answers. Though she doesn't dwell on that for long, as instead she's blinking up at Jinwoo when he takes her wrist. It doesn't really register that she said something wrong until he speaks, eyes widening as she falls silent.
So long as everyone is free, what happens to her shouldn't matter. Right?
...
She remembers what happened, when she lost her arm. And how cruel it is to think that when everyone did their best to help her.
So Lapis hesitates, for just a moment, before she nods. ]
I-I promise. I absolutely promise that I won't, Jinwoo.
I'll still be standing at the end with the rest of you.
